In the golden beautiful season of autumn, we are pleased to hold the 23rd Congress of Chinese Ophthalmological Society (CCOS) in Hangzhou during September 12-16, 2018. More than 10,000 international and domestic delegates are expected to attend the biggest and most important ophthalmological meeting in China.
On behalf of the Chinese Ophthalmological Society (COS) and the Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure to extend the warmest welcome to all the delegates, colleagues and friends from the world.
With years of efforts under generations of ophthalmologists, the Chinese ophthalmology has developed rapidly with a huge achievement. More and more Chinese ophthalmologists were appointed as leadership among international societies and organizations. The internal and international exchange and collaboration also turn vivid and frequent. Now, CCOS has become a large-scale platform for academic communication, and its international influence and academic status have been increased into a world advanced level.
2018 CCOS will be an international, high level and prosperous meeting covering all aspects of ophthalmology and visual science, as well as advances in world up-to-date clinical and basic research. Besides the traditional highlights such as Plenary Session, Subspecialty and Multi-discipline Session, Video Symposium, Live Surgery etc., The Belt and Road Forum, COS-AAO Chapter in China Forum and Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Ophthalmology Forum will certainly bring you an impressive academic journey. We will provide simultaneous translation in several symposiums, and tried our best to let the delegates more enjoy the dynamic scientific program in Hangzhou. Hangzhou, the world famous tourist city, is known as “Heaven on Earth” with its stunning natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. It was described by Marco Polo as "the finest and most splendid city in the world". I am sure you will enjoy the modernized city and the beautiful, attractive scenery.
